Gakuen Alice (Japanese : Gakuen Arisu) or Alice Academy, is a manga created by Tachibana Higuchi. This manga released on 19 February 2003 and it's still on going (Now, it's already 23 series of them)
This manga tell us about, two best friends, Sakura Mikan and Imai Hotaru who lives in a small town in the remote countryside. One day, Hotaru move to Tokyo to attend a school for geniuses. Mikan misses Hotaru so much that she decided to go to Tokyo to meet her. When she arrives at 'Gakuen Alice', the name of the school Hotaru in and find out that everyone who study at that school has a superpower called 'Alice'. Narumi - sensei, a teacher of the gakuen, find out that she, too, is an alice, and Mikan enter to that academy, too. When the first time she enter the academy, she meet a boy, named Hyuuga Natsume or Natsume for short, who has a fire alice that included in Dangerous Ability (Japanese : Kiken-nōryoku). At that time, they both (Natsume and Mikan) hate each other, but, as the time pass, they being bestriend and surprisingly couple. Mikan meets Natsume's best friend too, Nogi Ruka (English Translation : Nogi Luca) who has the animal pheromone alice.
There, Mikan find a new life, new friends, and new love that she would never forgets. As the time pass by, Mikan and her friends learned that honestly, the academy has many secrets and lies.
